As is typical in all things programming, I feel I should start this blog off with a little “Hello World” program. While programs use Hello World to check that the system is working, and to give a basic understanding of the system being used (something I will discuss later), I will use this time space to give a brief introduction to myself.
I am a Software Developer (aka Programmer, Coder, Code Monkey, etc.) based in Oregon, in the United States. I recently graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. I am currently working on developing iPhone Apps (yeah, I know it’s a bit cliché, but it’s what I’m interested in), as well as Mac Apps (again, a bit cliché) and Windows programs.
My interests (besides programming) include Science, Mathematics, Philosophy, Reading (mostly Technical and Science Fiction), Electronics, Television, Video Games, and more (again, horribly, horribly cliché, but I will explain that in a further post). I’m sure there will be many posts on these and many other subjects.
The purpose of the blog, well, is kind of general. I will use this space both personally and professionally, as a place to communicate, to teach, and to learn.
Whether anyone actually reads this, frankly I don’t care. I’m doing this because I want to.
